Lab-on-a-Chip by NanoEnTek

NanoEnTek is a nano-bio and medical device manufacturer. The company sells technology that combines microfluidics and micro-mechanical technology (MEMS). Its headquarters are in Seoul, South Korea, and it was founded in 2000. The innovative devices of this company enable a single unit to merge sample preparation, diagnostic sensing, and communications functionality into one small container by using proprietary electronics with integrated optics.

Through the combination of MEMS and microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip technology creates a device that facilitates quick and affordable medical testing. MicroElectroMechanical Systems, or MEMS, are specifically designed for tiny sensors, optics, and actuation systems that need to be extremely compact and precise. A group of technologies known as microfluidics are used to control minuscule volumes of fluid at the microscale. Point of care tests, including as blood glucose, cholesterol, and urinalysis, may now be performed simply, precisely, and consistently on a single drop of blood or urine at the patient's bedside or even in remote locations thanks to a new generation of MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical Systems) sensors. Additionally, the technology makes it possible to identify illnesses like cancer, hepatitis B/C, HIV, hemoglobinopathies, type 1 diabetes, and clever and accurate ways to detect them. Furthermore, these devices may be placed directly on the skin or inside biological systems for continuous, non-contact sensing thanks to the advantages of compactness and ultra-low power.(AK)
